Reaching College Students

There are currently over 300,000 college students in Bucureşti. The percentage of evangelical Christians? Probably only around 1 percent. This past Saturday I participated in a seminar with some youth from my church in learning ways in which we can reach out to the college students in our city. As a church, we will be working specifically with the law school. On Saturday, I already had some good conversations with several young men at the dorms. We swapped telephone numbers. Hopefully some of them will be interested in joining our youth at volleyball, a film, or better yet, at church. First and foremost, we want to be establishing relationships with these students and a level of trust. Many have heard the Gospel, but have yet to understand they they too can have a relationship with Christ. Please pray for us as we work more closely with the law students in our city.

I am so glad that I can see what you are doing in Romania! How cool! You are definitely in my prayers!

This is way cool. So many Christians are affraid to get out of their comfort zones and go reach the lost with the message of the Gospel. But if we look carefully, we see Jesus ministered to the tax collectors, prostitutes, etc., even having dinner with them. I will certainly be praying for you and your church. May you establish deep relationships with these students and plant seeds that will bear fruit in eternity.

Praying for ya,

So true! We need to get off our butts and GOOOOOOOOOOO talk to people. Living by example is one thing, but if we never tell people about Jesus, how are they going to know the REASON for the change they see in us. I wish you God's richest blessings as you interact with college students in Romania.

Amen Kyle! Christians definitely need to have more courage. It is sad that we live in a world where people feel free to talk about just about anything: sex, lies, drugs, you name it. But it's so taboo to talk about Jesus. The Lord must be crying! Let's start a revolution by telling people about Jesus!

As you say Mihai, the Great Commission is NOT the Great Suggestion. Let's tell the world that Jesus lives---more than ever do people need to hear about this man we call Saviour!

People need Jesus
Many people, even in suburban America do not know Jesus
How are people going to know about Jesus?
You do the math.
